Exclusive Footage of Mazda at the Nürburgring 24hr Race 2014

Perhaps considered one of the hardest 24hr endurance races in the world, the course contained over 15 mile laps, 73 corners and 237 competing cars.

Mazda commissioned JOTA Sport to prepare a custom built MX-5 and manage the race team, under the name: Mazda Motor Sports Team JOTA http://www.jotagroup.com/index.php.

The team of four drivers included: Stefan Johansson, who knows endurance racing inside out and has an outstanding track record as a driver for Mazdaspeed at 24 Hours of Le Mans; Wolfgang Kaufmann, who has an intimate knowledge of the Nürburgring circuit; Owen Mildenhall, a journalist who has raced the Mazda MX-5 in a variety of competitions throughout England; and Teruaki Kato, winner of Japan’s Roadster Party Race.

The 24 Hours Nürburgring Endurance Race covers a distance of 25-Kilometre combination of Nordschleife and Grand Prix Circuit.
